Balochistan minister Mir Chakkar Khan Domki passes away.

Quetta, September 16, 2024-Sardar Mir Chakkar Khan Domki, Balochistan’s Minister for Local Governments, passed away in Karachi on Monday after a long illness. He had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karachi for some time.

Sardar Domki, a member of the Balochistan Assembly, represented the PB-8 (Lehri) constituency under the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP), winning his seat in the February 2024 general elections.

Born on August 12, 1969, in Lehri District, Sardar Domki held a Bachelor of Arts degree and served in various administrative roles within the Government of Balochistan from 1988 to 2010, including as assistant commissioner and additional deputy commissioner.

He entered politics in 2013 when he was first elected to the Balochistan Assembly as a Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate from PB-21 (Sibi). In 2018, he was re-elected as a member of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) from PB-7 (Sibi-cum-Lehri) before joining PPPP in 2024.
