Lahore, April 26, 2025: Half-centuries from captain Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam powered Multan Sultans to a strong total of 185/3 against home side Lahore Qalandars in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

Put into bat first, the Sultans built their innings cautiously before gaining momentum through opener Yasir Khan, who struck a six and a four before being dismissed after a brisk 24 off 18 balls.

Following Yasir’s departure, Rizwan stitched together brief partnerships with Usman Khan (18 off 14 balls) and Shai Hope (9 off 9 balls), but the Sultans found themselves at 70/3 in 10.1 overs.

Kamran Ghulam then joined his skipper at the crease, and the duo orchestrated a remarkable recovery, putting on an unbeaten 115-run stand for the fourth wicket. They batted sensibly against a disciplined Qalandars attack, accelerating smartly in the death overs.

Rizwan top-scored with an unbeaten 76 off 48 deliveries, hitting six fours and three sixes, while Ghulam remained not out on 52 off 31 balls, including two fours and four towering sixes.

Among the bowlers, Tom Curran, Haris Rauf, and Daryl Mitchell each claimed a wicket for the Qalandars.

Lahore Qalandars will now need 186 runs to secure victory in front of their home crowd.
