Rawalpindi, May 3, 2025: Pakistan on Saturday conducted a successful training launch of its surface-to-surface Abdali missile system, as part of a broader operational readiness exercise codenamed Indus, the military’s media wing announced.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile, which has a range of 450 kilometers, was launched to assess both operational preparedness and the effectiveness of upgraded navigation and maneuverability technologies.

The launch was witnessed by senior officials from the Army Strategic Forces Command, the Strategic Plans Division, and members of Pakistan’s strategic scientific community. ISPR noted that the missile demonstrated precision targeting and stable flight performance, successfully achieving all test objectives.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the heads of Pakistan’s armed forces congratulated all personnel involved. They reaffirmed their confidence in the country’s strategic deterrence capabilities and praised the technical expertise of the scientists and engineers behind the system.

The Abdali missile remains a crucial element of Pakistan’s conventional and strategic arsenal, engineered for rapid deployment and high-accuracy strikes against ground targets.
