British High Commissioner meets Prime Minister

Islamabad, September 18, 2024 – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the enduring ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom by working closely with the British leadership.

In his meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized the deep-rooted and historic relationship between the two nations, highlighting the potential for further collaboration across various sectors.

Prime Minister Sharif underscored the importance of addressing Pakistan’s economic challenges and called for enhanced cooperation in trade and investment, climate change, social connectivity, and regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest. He also acknowledged the significant role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK, describing them as a vital bridge between the two countries, contributing meaningfully to the strengthening of bilateral relations.
