Lahore, May 25, 2025: Hafiz Abdul Karim has been elected unopposed as the emir of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, following the recent demise of the party’s long-serving leader, Professor Sajid Mir.
The election process, conducted under the supervision of Dr Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Chairman of the Election Board, concluded without contest, reflecting consensus within the party ranks.
Hafiz Abdul Karim’s elevation to the top leadership comes after the passing of Senator Professor Sajid Mir, who led the religious-political party for several decades. Professor Mir passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 87 after a prolonged illness.
Prominent political leaders have begun extending their congratulations. Among them, Liaquat Baloch, Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, phoned Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim to offer his felicitations on being entrusted with the leadership of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith.
