Islamabad, July 8, 2025: Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), Lt General Wang Gang, has lauded the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its professionalism, strategic foresight, and exemplary performance during the recent conflict with India.
According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt General Gang led a high-level Chinese defence delegation that met Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, at Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The meeting focused on regional security dynamics, matters of mutual interest, and enhancing bilateral cooperation — particularly in the domains of airpower, technology, and operational synergy.
Lt General Gang praised the PAF for delivering a “decisive and measured response” under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, calling it a “textbook example of precision, discipline, and courage in the face of unprovoked aggression.” He also expressed deep appreciation for the PAF’s high state of operational readiness and modern capabilities.
Highlighting the PAF’s integration of Multi-Domain Operations, the Chinese air chief noted it as a hallmark of contemporary warfare and expressed the PLAAF’s interest in learning from Pakistan’s battle-tested experience in this arena.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, in his remarks, warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and underscored the time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China — rooted in mutual trust, strategic convergence, and shared aspirations for regional peace and stability.
The ISPR further stated that Lt General Gang was given a detailed briefing on the PAF’s modern force structure, strategic initiatives, and evolving operational doctrine. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration in training, technology, and joint operations.
“The meeting reflects the enduring resolve of Pakistan and China to strengthen their strategic partnership through innovation-driven defence cooperation,” the ISPR concluded.
