Birmingham, July 17, 2025: The Pakistan Champions squad landed in Birmingham on Thursday morning ahead of the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), which is set to kick off on Friday.

In a video released by the franchise, captain Mohammad Hafeez, seasoned all-rounder Shoaib Malik, pacer Rumman Raees, and top-order batter Sharjeel Khan were seen arriving at Birmingham Airport. They were accompanied by head coach Arshad Khan, franchise owner Kamil Khan, and former teammate Saeed Ajmal.

Although Ajmal is not officially part of the playing squad, his presence sparked speculation about his potential coaching involvement. In the video, he was overheard telling Raees, “Main coach hoon” (I’m the coach), hinting at a possible support role during the tournament.

Pakistan Champions, who finished runners-up in the inaugural edition of the WCL last year, will begin their 2025 campaign with a high-voltage clash against England Champions in the tournament opener on Friday. Their second fixture, set for Sunday, will see them take on defending champions and arch-rivals India Champions in what promises to be a blockbuster contest.

Pakistan Champions squad for WCL 2025:

Mohammad Hafeez (Captain), Shoaib Malik, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Amin, Sharjeel Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed (Wicketkeeper), Shahid Afridi, Asif Ali, Aamer Yamin, Wahab Riaz, Rumman Raees, Sohail Tanvir, Imad Wasim, and Sohail Khan.
