Quetta, July 20, 2025: A disturbing video showing the brutal murder of a man and a woman has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation across Pakistan.

In response, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has ordered a swift and comprehensive investigation into the incident and directed law enforcement agencies to arrest all those involved without delay.

According to provincial government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the Chief Minister has instructed authorities to identify the location of the crime and take immediate action. “Such barbaric acts are absolutely intolerable and a disgrace to both societal values and human dignity,” the spokesperson said.

In a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, CM Bugti emphasized: “The rule of law will not be compromised. Those who challenge the writ of the state will be dealt with firmly. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.”

Shahid Rind further condemned the graphic content of the viral footage, calling it “reprehensible on every level,” and reiterated the government’s commitment to pursuing justice. “The Balochistan government will not remain a silent spectator in the face of such cruelty. All legal avenues will be used to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable,” he added.

Authorities have also appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the individuals seen in the video. Citizens are being urged to cooperate with law enforcement and provide any information that could aid in the swift apprehension of the suspects.

The incident has reignited debate over rising violence and the need for stronger enforcement of legal protections, particularly in remote and vulnerable communities.
