Dublin, August 8, 2025: A brisk 31-run cameo by Natalia Pervaiz lifted Pakistan to a competitive 168/6 in the second T20I of the three-match series against Ireland at the Clontarf Cricket Club on Friday.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan’s new opening pair, Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar, gave the side a solid platform with a 62-run stand inside eight overs before both fell on consecutive deliveries.

Shawaal top-scored with 33 off 27 balls, striking six boundaries, while Muneeba contributed 27 from 22 deliveries, featuring three fours and a six.

Following the double blow, Natalia Pervaiz joined Eyman Fatima to add 43 valuable runs for the third wicket. Eyman made 23 off 16 balls with two fours and a six before departing in the 13th over.

Natalia continued the momentum with captain Fatima Sana in a 30-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Her 17-ball 31, decorated with four boundaries, proved instrumental in pushing Pakistan past the 160 mark. Fatima chipped in with a 16-ball 23, hitting one four and a six, before being dismissed by Orla Prendergast.

Tuba Hassan’s unbeaten 10 at the tail end ensured Pakistan closed on a high.

For Ireland, Lara McBride and Cara Murray claimed two wickets apiece, while Prendergast picked up one.
