Peshawar, August 9, 2025: Pakistan and Tajikistan have agreed to establish a Business Forum aimed at enhancing trade and investment between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Tajikistan’s Khatlon region.
The decision was finalised during a meeting at the Governor House between Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Tajikistan, Saidjon Shafizoda Ismoil, and KPK Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
Discussions covered a broad range of cooperation areas, including economy, trade, investment, energy connectivity, education, agriculture, tourism, culture, arts, sports, banking, and air connectivity. Both sides expressed readiness to deepen bilateral engagement across multiple sectors.
Governor Kundi emphasised that KPK’s provincial leadership is prepared to encourage successful local entrepreneurs to invest in Tajikistan, fostering stronger economic ties and mutual growth.
The initiative is expected to create new opportunities for cross-border business partnerships and promote regional connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asia.
