Weekly inflation increased by 3.57% amid floods

ISLAMABAD , August 29, 2025:The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that the weekly inflation in the country has been increased by 0.622% to reach 3.57% due to the flash floods across the country.

According to details surfaced on Friday, a 20-kg flour bag has been increased by Rs198 to reach Rs1,829. The price of tomatoes has been increased by Rs18 per kg to reach Rs140 per kg.The price of live chicken has been increased by Rs15 to reach Rs470 per kg.

At the same time, the prices of six of the items decrease, which include Dal Maash, Dal Masoor, Dal Channa, banana, ghee and onion.
Meanwhile, the prices of the 27 items remained stable.
