Abu Dhabi, September 11, 2025: A disciplined bowling performance helped Bangladesh limit Hong Kong to 143/7 in their allotted 20 overs in the third match of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Litton Das saw his decision pay off early. Taskin Ahmed struck in the second over, removing Anshy Rath (4), before Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled Babar Hayat (14) to reduce Hong Kong to 30/2 inside the powerplay.

Wicketkeeper Zeeshan Ali (30 off 34) attempted to rebuild alongside Nizakat Khan, adding 41 runs for the third wicket, but fell to Tanzim just as the stand was gathering momentum. Captain Yasim Murtaza then partnered with Nizakat for a 46-run fourth-wicket stand. Murtaza scored a quick 28 off 19 with four boundaries before being run out.

Nizakat top-scored with 42 off 40 balls, including two fours and a six, but his dismissal in the penultimate over triggered a mini-collapse. Hong Kong could only add nine more runs while losing two further wickets.

For Bangladesh, Sakib (2/25), Taskin (2/28) and Rishad Hossain (2/31) were the standout bowlers.
