Bannu, October 14, 2024 – A terrorist attack on Bannu Police Lines during the funeral of Head Constable Shaista Khan, who was martyred earlier the same day, has resulted in a fierce gun battle between security forces and attackers.
According to sources, five terrorists launched the assault, and three have been killed so far in the exchange of heavy gunfire. Both sides have used a variety of weapons, and the situation remains tense as security forces work to neutralize the remaining assailants.
The police have cordoned off the area surrounding the police lines, while hospitals in Bannu have declared an emergency. Security forces remain resolute in their efforts to end the attack as the operation continues.
