Lahore, September 17, 2025: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) on Wednesday announced the official schedule for the 2025–26 FIH Pro League, with arch-rivals Pakistan and India set for a high-voltage clash in London next June.

Pakistan booked their place in the league after New Zealand, winners of the 2024–25 Nations Cup, declined to participate. As runners-up, the Green Shirts were invited by FIH and confirmed their entry following financial assurances from the government.

“FIH can confirm that the Pakistan men’s hockey team, nicknamed the Green Shirts, have accepted the invitation to participate in the upcoming season of the FIH Hockey Pro League,” the federation said in a statement.

The seventh edition of the tournament will feature nine teams: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, England, Germany, India, the Netherlands, Spain, and Pakistan. Ireland, who finished bottom last season, have been relegated.

Pakistan will begin their campaign in Rosario, Argentina, on December 10 against the Netherlands, before taking on hosts Argentina two days later. The Green Shirts are slated to play 16 matches across four international legs.

Their second leg will be held in Hobart, Australia, in February, where they face Germany and the hosts. In June, the team heads to Belgium for matches against Belgium and Spain, followed by the marquee London fixtures against England and arch-rivals India.

The Pakistan-India encounters, scheduled for June 23 and 26, 2026, are expected to be the highlight of the season, reigniting one of hockey’s fiercest rivalries.
