Islamabad, September 20, 2025: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Punjab Ameer, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has said the Al-Khidmat Foundation is continuing its mission of serving humanity without discrimination of religion, caste, or ethnicity, as it intensifies relief operations for families devastated by recent rains and floods across Pakistan.

Speaking at a ceremony in Gujrat on Saturday, where essential household items were distributed among flood-hit families, Dr. Saleem said more than 15,000 volunteers of the Foundation are actively working in affected areas. Relief efforts include the provision of food, tents, clean drinking water, and other household necessities.

He urged people from all walks of life to demonstrate unity and solidarity by contributing generously to support ongoing relief and rehabilitation initiatives. “This is the time for collective responsibility, so that displaced and affected families can be rehabilitated at the earliest,” he added.

According to Dr. Saleem, Al-Khidmat Foundation has already delivered ration bags, drinking water, and medical assistance to thousands of families, while setting up temporary shelters for displaced individuals, including children. The Foundation’s medical teams are also providing first aid, essential medicines, and vaccines to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases in flood-hit regions.

He further noted that Al-Khidmat Foundation is working on a comprehensive rehabilitation plan to support the long-term recovery and resettlement of affected communities.
