Rawalpindi, September 28, 2025: Pakistan on Sunday received fresh humanitarian assistance from China to support communities affected by recent floods, with relief consignments landing at Nur Khan Air Base.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), two Chinese relief flights delivered 300 tents and 9,000 blankets. The aid was formally received by Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam, NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, and the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan.

Minister Muqam said the timely support demonstrated the “enduring friendship” between Pakistan and China. He added that, on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives, government agencies and NDMA were actively coordinating efforts to deliver the goods to flood-hit areas.

Officials underscored that the latest delivery adds to a series of humanitarian contributions from China in recent years, underscoring what Islamabad describes as an “all-weather strategic partnership.”
