Islamabad, November 7, 2025: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has announced that the upcoming grand Ijtma-e-Aam of Jamaat-e-Islami — scheduled for November 21–23 at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore — will be the largest gathering in the country’s history.

He said that Ameer JI Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, will formally launch a nationwide organized movement for system change under the slogan “Change the System.”

Speaking at a review meeting of JI Gujrat, Dr. Saleem said the historic Ijtma would mark the beginning of a comprehensive struggle for real change in Pakistan. He revealed that thousands of participants across Punjab have already registered digitally, reflecting overwhelming public enthusiasm.

“Youth and families will actively join Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ijtma-e-Aam to end the exploitative system,” he said.

Dr. Saleem added that during the three-day event, JI will present a complete reform agenda for the education and judicial sectors.

Criticizing the current system, he said it has crushed the working class and small farmers, while the corporate sector’s growing control over agriculture perpetuates the feudal structure.

“The bureaucracy behaves as if it rules the people, and politics has been confined to inheritance, family, and caste,” he remarked. “In these circumstances, only an organized political party can dismantle the outdated system.”

Dr. Saleem further stated that leaders from the Islamic world, along with traders, industrialists, youth, and student representatives, will also participate in the gathering.

Highlighting JI’s past successes, he said the party’s movement against Independent Power Producers (IPPs) had led to lower electricity prices and billions in savings for the national treasury.
