Hafizabad, November 14, 2025: Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), emphasized that the business community is a key driver of Pakistan’s economic revival and expressed strong support for the recently approved 27th Constitutional Amendment, which aims to bring stability and facilitate sustainable policy-making.

Speaking at a ceremony honoring the newly elected officials of the Hafizabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh said, “The business community of Pakistan fully supports constitutional amendments that will provide stability to the country and enable long-term, sustainable policy frameworks essential for economic growth.”

The event was attended by Patron-in-Chief UBG S.M. Tanveer, FPCCI President Zubair Tufail, Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, and senior business leaders including Vice President Federation Tariq Jadoon and Chairman Capital Office Karim Aziz Malik.

Sheikh congratulated the newly elected President Malik Suhail, Senior Vice President Ammar Masood, and Vice President Abdul Jabar Raza, assuring full cooperation to resolve challenges faced by the business community. He stressed that empowered chambers can play a pivotal role in local economic revival and increasing the country’s exports.

“Hafizabad is not just a land of rice, but a symbol of hard work, honesty, and skill,” Sheikh said. “The traders and industrialists here are vital to Pakistan’s economy, and the new chamber leadership will further enhance their role, especially in a stable political and economic environment facilitated by reforms such as the 27th Amendment.”

Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer echoed the sentiment, highlighting that Pakistan’s business community is united in working through FPCCI and UBG platforms to support constitutional reforms, economic stability, agriculture development, export growth, and employment generation.

Newly elected President Malik Suhail said, “With the backing of the Federation and UBG leadership, we will work tirelessly to make Hafizabad Chamber one of Punjab’s largest chambers, strengthening the business community and contributing to Pakistan’s broader economic revival.”
