ICC Women’s T20 World Cup- New Zealand are the new champions

Dubai, October 20,2024- New Zealand claimed the Women’s T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in the final. In the match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, South Africa failed to chase New Zealand’s target. The South African women’s team managed to score 126 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs while chasing a target of 159. Earlier, South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. New Zealand posted a total of 158 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Amelia Kerr top-scored with 43 runs, followed by Brooke Halliday with 38, and Suzie Bates with 32 runs.
