Lahore, November 21, 2025: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Friday announced a significant prize pool for franchises participating in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled for 2026.
In a post on social media platform X, Naqvi said the move reflects the PCB’s commitment to rewarding franchises for their contributions to the league’s growth. Under the new structure, the PSL 2026 champions will receive $500,000, the runners-up $300,000, while a franchise recognised for exceptional work in cricket development will be awarded $200,000.
“Let’s take Pakistan cricket to new heights,” Naqvi added.
In a parallel development, the PCB confirmed that the auction for two new HBL PSL franchises will take place on January 6, 2026, marking a major milestone in the league’s expansion.
The addition of two new teams is expected to further elevate the PSL by enhancing commercial opportunities, strengthening sporting competitiveness and boosting fan engagement across the country.
Shortlisted cities under consideration for franchise allocation include Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit. Only technically qualified bidders will be allowed to participate in the auction, and successful bidders will be entitled to choose their preferred city and team name from the shortlisted locations.
