Tel Aviv/New Delhi, November 25,2025: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled his scheduled visit to India due to security concerns following recent bomb blasts in New Delhi. He was expected to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior officials, but the heightened security alert in the Indian capital prompted the decision.

Netanyahu had planned to travel later this year to advance discussions on trade, defense cooperation, and diplomatic ties, reinforcing the steadily growing partnership between the two countries. The trip was also intended to bolster strategic collaboration in areas of technology, security, and regional stability.

This marks the second postponement of Netanyahu’s India visit this year. He had earlier called off a one-day trip in September, also due to reported security threats. His last official visit to India took place in 2018, during which he met Indian leadership and reviewed several bilateral initiatives.

Despite the cancellation, officials from both countries emphasize that Israel–India relations remain robust, with diplomatic channels and virtual engagements ensuring continuity in ongoing discussions. Both governments reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in trade, security, and regional affairs.

While the visit is postponed for now, future high-level meetings are expected once security conditions stabilize, underscoring the enduring nature of the strategic partnership between Israel and India.
