Dubai, December 3, 2025: Abrar Ahmed, along with opener Saim Ayub and skipper Salman Ali Agha, have climbed significantly in the latest ICC T20I rankings, following Pakistan’s strong performances in the recently concluded tri-series against Sri Lanka national cricket team and Zimbabwe national cricket team.

According to the updated rankings issued Wednesday, in the T20I batters’ list, Saim Ayub rose two places to 35th with 554 points, while Salman Ali Agha soared 11 spots to 52nd with 507 points.

On the bowling front, Abrar achieved a career-best ranking of 4th globally after climbing four places.

Not all Pakistani batters enjoyed an upward swing, Sahibzada Farhan dropped two places to sixth, with 752 points. Former captain Babar Azam slipped one place to 30th, while wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan fell eight spots to 54th; other batters including Fakhar Zaman and Hassan Nawaz also saw declines.

In the T20I all-rounder rankings, Saim Ayub reclaimed the No. 1 spot, pushing Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe to second. Pakistani spinner/all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz also made a notable jump to 4th.

The latest rankings update reflects a renewed sense of momentum for Pakistan’s T20I squad, driven by strong individual contributions that have reshaped team standings globally.
