Binance leadership meets Pakistan officials as government signals support for digital asset regulation

Islamabad, December 6, 2025: Senior leadership from Binance, including Global CEO Richard Teng, visited Islamabad for high-level engagements with Pakistan’s top leadership, underscoring the country’s growing focus on digital asset regulation.

The meetings were attended by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ.

Bilal bin Saqib, Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), also participated and provided a briefing on the organization’s regulatory framework and initiatives.

Officials said the discussions highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a secure and regulated environment for virtual assets, while exploring opportunities for collaboration with global digital asset platforms.
