Islamabad, December 18, 2025: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday held a warm and cordial telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, on the auspicious occasion of Qatar’s National Day.
The prime minister extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Amir, the Qatari royal family, the government and the brotherly people of Qatar, wishing them continued peace, progress and prosperity.
He praised Qatar’s remarkable achievements and its growing stature on the global stage under the visionary leadership of His Highness the Amir, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to further strengthening the long-standing and multifaceted bilateral partnership between the two brotherly countries.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz also lauded Qatar’s constructive role in efforts to promote peace in Gaza and expressed deep appreciation for Doha’s facilitation of talks aimed at easing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Recalling his official visits to Doha earlier this year, the prime minister reiterated his cordial invitation to the Qatari Amir to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at a mutually convenient date.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani thanked the prime minister for his thoughtful greetings on Qatar’s National Day and expressed his strong commitment to further deepening the historic, fraternal and close ties between Qatar and Pakistan in the days ahead.
