Islamabad, December 27, 2025: Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam, on Saturday paid rich tribute to former prime minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her death anniversary, acknowledging her courage, vision and lasting contributions to Pakistan and the wider region.

In a statement issued on the solemn occasion of Benazir Bhutto Day, the Iranian envoy said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s leadership and unwavering commitment to public service had left an enduring mark on history.

“On December 27, and on the solemn occasion of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Day, I pay respectful tribute to the memory of this distinguished Pakistani leader whose courage, vision and unwavering commitments left an enduring mark on history,” Dr Moghadam said.

He noted that Benazir Bhutto’s legacy of advocating human values, social justice and empowerment of the people continued to inspire generations, not only in Pakistan but across the region.

“Her sacrifices for the principles of social justice remain a source of reflection and resolve,” the ambassador said, adding that her ideals still resonated strongly in contemporary struggles for peace and humanity.

Dr Moghadam also extended heartfelt sentiments to the government and people of Pakistan, describing them as a brotherly nation.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran stands in solidarity with Pakistan in honoring the legacy of a leader whose life and ideals continue to resonate,” he said.

Concluding his message, the Iranian ambassador expressed hope that Benazir Bhutto’s memory would remain a guiding light in the pursuit of peace, humanity and prosperity.
