Islamabad, December 30, 2025: Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Pakistan in February 2026, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov confirmed during a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday.
According to the Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Saidov extended Season’s greetings and warm New Year wishes to the deputy prime minister, which were reciprocated in the same spirit. During the call, he formally conveyed the confirmation of President Mirziyoyev’s upcoming visit, underscoring the growing momentum in Pakistan–Uzbekistan relations.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties. They agreed to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, connectivity, energy, and people-to-people exchanges, with a view to enhancing the strategic partnership between Islamabad and Tashkent.
