Dubai, December 31, 2025: Pakistan’s Olympic javelin sensation Arshad Nadeem met FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the World Sports Summit in Dubai, where the football chief acknowledged his familiarity with Nadeem’s achievements on the global stage.

The brief but memorable interaction took place on the sidelines of the summit, with Infantino asking Nadeem about his personal best throw. “It was a 92-metre throw, and now I want to break that record,” Nadeem told the FIFA President. Infantino expressed his goodwill for the Pakistani athlete and posed for photographs with him, leaving the Olympic champion pleasantly surprised by the football chief’s knowledge of his accomplishments.

In a separate highlight, Nadeem was honored with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Sports Award in the Global Breakthrough Athlete category during the summit, attended by leading figures from the international sporting community.

This recognition further cements Arshad Nadeem’s status as one of Pakistan’s most celebrated athletes and showcases his growing prominence on the global sports stage.
