Beijing, January 4, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday underscored the vital role of Pakistan–China friendship in promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity, during the seventh round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Beijing, the Foreign Office said.

DPM Dar arrived in Beijing on Saturday to co-chair the dialogue at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart. The discussions covered the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, regional and global developments, and cooperation across political, economic, and strategic domains.

Both leaders exchanged views on the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), trade, multilateral engagement, and people-to-people exchanges. They emphasized that the deep-rooted Pakistan–China friendship is “vital for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and for the two countries,” the Foreign Office statement added.

In a symbolic move to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations, Dar and Wang Yi unveiled a special logo commemorating the milestone. The logo launch kicks off a year-long series of events celebrating the historic partnership and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Prior to the dialogue, DPM Dar held a series of high-level meetings with Chinese officials. He met Chinese Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang to reaffirm their commitment to further deepening the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Dar also held talks with Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), where both sides expressed satisfaction with the forward-looking trajectory of bilateral ties, reviewed party-to-party exchanges, regional developments, and progress on key CPEC projects.

The seventh Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue reflects both countries’ determination to strengthen their longstanding friendship and broaden cooperation across trade, infrastructure, strategic, and cultural sectors in the coming years.
