Islamabad, January 6, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Mr. Amiri Moghaddam.
During the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador conveyed New Year greetings from Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, and delivered a letter addressed to the Deputy Prime Minister. Senator Ishaq Dar warmly reciprocated the greetings and extended his best wishes to the Iranian leadership.
The Ambassador briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the progress achieved under various bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries in a range of sectors.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to its longstanding relationship with Iran, Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized Islamabad’s resolve to further deepen bilateral engagement in key priority areas of mutual interest.
