Lahore, January 14, 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the schedule for Australia’s three-match T20 International series in Pakistan later this month, as both teams prepare for the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026 in February.

According to the PCB, all three matches will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, January 31 and February 1. The toss for each match will take place at 5:30pm, with play scheduled to begin at 6:00pm. Australia’s T20I squad is set to arrive in Lahore on January 28.

“The series serves as crucial game time for both sides ahead of the all-important ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026, where Pakistan are placed in Group A and Australia in Group B,” the PCB said in a statement.

This will be Australia’s third tour of Pakistan in recent years. The visitors last toured the country in March–April 2022, when they played a three-match Test series and an ODI series, followed by a solitary T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, which Australia won by three wickets. Australia also featured in three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 held in Pakistan.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed welcomed the Australian team and expressed optimism about the series.

“We are excited and look forward to hosting Australia for the three-match T20I series here in Lahore,” he said. “The tour marks a blockbuster beginning of the year for Pakistan cricket fans, and I urge them to turn out in numbers to support both teams as they put the final touches to their T20 World Cup preparations.”

Syed added that Gaddafi Stadium has become a familiar venue for the Australian side. “They have played a Test, five ODIs and a T20I here since March 2022,” he noted.

Series schedule

  • 1st T20I: January 29 — 6:00pm
  • 2nd T20I: January 31 — 6:00pm
  • 3rd T20I: February 1 — 6:00pm

The series is expected to draw significant interest as two of the tournament favourites fine-tune their squads ahead of the T20 World Cup.
