Islamabad, January 15, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met an Azerbaijani delegation led by Alavi Mehdiov, Chairman of Public Service and Social Service of Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of Pakistan’s first Easy Service Center in Islamabad.

The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatmi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the government plans to establish more Easy Service Centers across the country to provide federal government services under one roof. He expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani government for their support and cooperation in setting up the Islamabad facility.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government is working to transform the overall ecosystem of public service delivery in Pakistan. He announced that in the next phase, Easy Service Centers would also be established in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

He directed the relevant authorities to set clear performance targets for the Easy Service Centers and to conduct quarterly third-party performance audits, stressing that services provided at these centers must meet international standards.

The Azerbaijani delegation appreciated the Prime Minister’s reform agenda and efforts to introduce innovation and efficiency in public service delivery. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov informed the meeting that an additional flight between Islamabad and Azerbaijan would be launched in March, a move expected to further strengthen bilateral ties.

The Prime Minister welcomed the initiative, thanked the Azerbaijani delegation for their visit, and appreciated their participation in the inauguration ceremony, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan across multiple sectors.
