Islamabad, January 19, 2026: Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi, which claimed the lives of at least 14 people.
In a message issued on Monday, the Ambassador said he was deeply saddened to learn of the devastating incident that resulted in the loss of “precious Pakistani brothers and sisters.” He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and said his thoughts and prayers were with them in this moment of grief.
Ambassador Moghadam also prayed for the safe and speedy recovery of those injured in the incident. Paying tribute to the emergency responders, he extended prayers for strength, success, and protection to the rescue teams and police personnel who, he said, were courageously performing their duties under difficult circumstances.
The Iranian envoy reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan as they mourn the loss caused by the tragic fire.
