Islamabad, January 21, 2026: The Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have welcomed the invitation extended by United States President Donald J. Trump to their leaders to join the so-called “Board of Peace.”
In a joint announcement, the Ministers confirmed their countries’ decision to participate in the Board of Peace. Each country will complete the signing of joining documents in accordance with their respective legal and procedural requirements, with Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE having already announced their participation.
The Ministers reiterated their support for the peace efforts led by President Trump and affirmed their commitment to the Board’s mission as a transitional administration, as outlined in the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. The plan, endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, aims to consolidate a permanent ceasefire, support the reconstruction of Gaza, and advance a just and lasting peace.
The statement emphasized that these efforts are grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood under international law and are intended to promote security and stability for all countries and peoples in the region.
