Jakarta, January 27, 2026: Indonesia is set to lead the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation for the 2026–2027 term, emphasizing unity, resilience, and shared prosperity among member states.

The Indonesian Chairmanship logo reflects direction, unity, and collective hope, inspired by the Nusantara philosophy as a maritime nation navigating global change through cooperation and Global South solidarity.

Under the theme “Navigating Global Shifts: Strengthening Equality, Solidarity and Cooperation for Shared Prosperity,” Indonesia has pledged to enhance the D-8’s role as an inclusive and impactful platform for economic collaboration, fostering stronger ties among member countries and promoting equitable growth.
