Islamabad, February 6, 2026: Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dan Stoenescu, has strongly condemned the attack on an imambargah in Islamabad during Friday prayers that resulted in the loss of innocent lives and left many others injured.

In a statement, the ambassador expressed sympathy with the victims and their families, calling the incident deeply tragic.

“My condolences go to the families of the victims, and my thoughts are with the injured,” Stoenescu said, while confirming that no Romanian citizens were reported among those affected by the blast.

The envoy’s message adds to the growing number of international condemnations following the attack, as foreign diplomats continue to express solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of the tragedy.
