Islamabad, February 10, 2026: Convener of the Pakistan–Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) Ms. Shaista Pervaiz, MNA, met with Ms. Zeynep Yıldız, Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Deputy Chairperson of the Digital Media Commission, at Parliament House during the latter’s visit to Pakistan for the Indus AI Summit.

Welcoming the visiting parliamentarian, Shaista Pervaiz highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and religious bonds between the two nations, noting that Pakistan and Türkiye share common values, mutual trust, and a longstanding tradition of solidarity.

The meeting focused on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and expanding people-to-people ties, particularly in youth engagement, education, cultural exchange, and technological collaboration. Both sides identified promising opportunities in emerging areas such as digital media governance, artificial intelligence, ethical technology regulation, and youth capacity-building.

The convener appreciated Türkiye’s active role in regional and global affairs and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to parliamentary diplomacy to further deepen bilateral relations and mutual understanding.

Zeynep Yıldız thanked her hosts for the warm hospitality and shared her views on cultural preservation, education, and responsible technological advancement.
