Islamabad, February 16, 2026: Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan Oumer Hussein Oba paid a courtesy call on his Russian counterpart Albert P. Khorev at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Oumer H. Oba and Ambassador Khorev discussed matters of mutual interest, including ongoing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Ethiopia and the Russian Federation.
Ambassador Oba said that Ethiopia highly values its relations with Russia, highlighting the growing cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, including energy and defence.
Ambassador Khorev, in turn, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and emphasized Russia’s continued engagement in promoting regional stability through cooperation and dialogue.
