Islamabad, February 17, 2026: Special Envoy of Pakistan on Afghanistan and former ambassador Muhammad Sadiq Khan on Tuesday met with Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of the Russia to Pakistan, to discuss matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on evolving regional security dynamics, cross-border terrorism, and threats posed by militant groups operating from Afghanistan. They underscored the importance of sustained engagement to address shared security challenges.
The discussion also focused on the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts and enhanced cooperation to promote regional stability and effectively counter common security threats. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
