Rawalpindi, February 26, 2026: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that Pakistani security forces successfully conducted a comprehensive counter-terrorism operation in Zhob District, targeting terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij.

Following an initial intelligence-based operation on February 24 that neutralized eight militants, security forces intensified operations on February 25 to track down remaining elements of the group. During the area sanitization operation, militants were engaged across multiple locations, resulting in the elimination of ten additional Indian-sponsored Khwarij.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the terrorists, who had been involved in numerous violent activities across the district. The operation forms part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, conducted under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan.

The ISPR stated that sanitization operations will continue to root out any remaining foreign-sponsored terrorist elements, reaffirming the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies to eliminate the threat of externally supported terrorism from the country.
