Islamabad, March 21, 2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah, particularly the people of Pakistan, urging collective efforts to promote global peace, unity, and brotherhood.

In his message on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Gilani said the true spirit of the sacred day lies in embracing values of gratitude, compassion, and fraternity. He emphasized that Eid is not merely a celebration but a reminder of shared responsibilities toward building a harmonious and peaceful society.

The Senate chairman stressed the need to promote tolerance, love, and social cohesion at both individual and societal levels, noting that these values are essential for lasting peace.

Expressing concern over ongoing conflicts and instability globally, particularly in the Muslim world, Gilani called upon the Ummah to set aside differences and work collectively for unity and solidarity. He said the current global challenges require wisdom, prudence, and joint efforts to ensure peace and stability.

He also urged the nation to include underprivileged and vulnerable segments of society in the joys of Eid, highlighting the importance of social inclusion and compassion.

Gilani underscored that Pakistan’s progress and stability depend on national unity, adherence to the rule of law, and the promotion of democratic values.

He concluded by praying for peace, prosperity, and stability for Pakistan and the wider world, expressing hope that Eid would bring blessings and happiness to all.
