Islamabad, March 23, 2026: Britain’s monarch King Charles III has extended warm felicitations to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day, reaffirming the enduring ties between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.

In a message addressed to President Asif Ali Zardari, King Charles, along with Queen Consort Queen Camilla, conveyed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the prosperity and well-being of the Pakistani nation.

Reflecting on bilateral relations, the King highlighted the long-standing friendship between the two countries, rooted in shared values and strengthened through their association in the Commonwealth of Nations. He noted that people-to-people connections, particularly the vibrant British Pakistani community in the UK, continue to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation across cultural, economic, and social spheres.

The British monarch also underscored the importance of unity among Commonwealth nations, especially in the face of global challenges. He expressed optimism about further collaboration at the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, where member states are expected to reaffirm shared commitments and explore future partnerships.

Highlighting environmental concerns, King Charles praised Pakistan’s rich natural heritage—from its mountainous landscapes to the Indus Delta—and emphasized the shared responsibility of both nations to protect the environment. He appreciated ongoing UK-Pakistan cooperation in climate resilience, including efforts to improve flood preparedness, water management, and initiatives aimed at mobilizing investment in clean energy and nature-based solutions.

Concluding his message, King Charles extended his best wishes to Pakistanis worldwide for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead, reiterating the United Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Pakistan.
