Lahore, March 24, 2026: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi hosted a dinner on Monday night for Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners, team captains, national and international players, just two days ahead of the highly anticipated 11th edition of the tournament.

The event saw the participation of all eight team captains, franchise owners, the head coach of the national team, and international stars including Sikandar Raza, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Brendon Wilson. During the ceremony, the glittering Infinity Trophy for PSL 11 was displayed, and the official anthem, Khelenge Beat Pe, was unveiled.

Addressing the gathering, Naqvi apologised to cricket fans for limiting the tournament’s scale due to national considerations. “PSL 11 has been limited keeping in mind national interests due to the regional situation,” he said. “PSL has become a top international brand, and we have to take it further. I deeply apologise to cricket fans. You have to look at the broader interests of the country and nation first.”

The decision to hold PSL 11 behind closed doors in Karachi and Lahore, instead of across six cities, aligns with officially announced national resource conservation efforts.

The revised tournament itinerary includes 44 matches over 39 days, with each city hosting 22 fixtures. The opening match between the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Lahore Qalandars remains unchanged. Lahore will host Eliminators 1 and 2, as well as the final, while the Qualifier will take place in Karachi.

To enhance the “watch-from-home” experience, organisers have introduced upgraded broadcast and production features to ensure fans in Pakistan and worldwide enjoy the tournament despite the limited stadium access.
