Lahore, April 4, 2026: A disciplined bowling performance from Islamabad United helped them restrict debutants RawalPindiz to 156/7 in the 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

Opting to field first, United captain Shadab Khan made an immediate impact as his bowlers justified the decision with early breakthroughs. Richard Gleeson struck twice in the opening overs, removing Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan to leave RawalPindiz reeling at 15/2 inside four overs.

Stabilizing the innings, Kamran Ghulam led the recovery with a composed knock, forging a 51-run partnership with Daryl Mitchell, who scored 19 off 15 balls. Ghulam brought up his half-century in style but was dismissed soon after for 50 off 39 deliveries, including six fours and two sixes, falling to Faheem Ashraf.

Following his departure, RawalPindiz struggled to build momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Contributions from Abdullah Fazal (23) and an unbeaten 44 by Dian Forrester helped them post a modest total.

Islamabad United’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Salman Irshad, Gleeson, and Faheem, who picked up two wickets each, while Imad Wasim chipped in with one.

United will look to capitalize on the below-par target as they chase victory in the high-stakes PSL encounter.
