Tehran, April 8, 2026: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued an urgent security advisory, warning residents and travelers in parts of the Gulf region to immediately avoid several major transport routes, declaring them “closed military zones” from late tonight.
According to the statement, the restrictions will come into effect at 23:00 (Tehran time) and will remain in place until further notice.
The IRGC specifically named the following locations:
- The land route between Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia
- The King Fahd Causeway linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia
- Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Residents and commuters have been urged to leave these areas immediately, avoid any movement within the designated zones, and follow officially marked safe exit routes. The advisory warns that failure to comply could place lives at serious risk.
Additional warning for areas in Israel
In a separate part of the statement, the IRGC also called on Palestinians residing in Tel Aviv (Jaffa) to stay away from specific infrastructure points, including:
- Railway Bridge No. 8 on Route 431
- Yarkon Railway Bridge in Tel Aviv
The statement emphasized that individuals should completely refrain from entering or traveling through these areas under any circumstances.
The warning comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, with increasing concerns over potential escalation involving key strategic locations and infrastructure.
Authorities in the affected countries have yet to issue detailed responses to the IRGC’s announcement. Observers say the situation remains fluid, and residents are advised to follow updates from official local sources.
