Washington, November 6, 2024 – US President-elect Donald Trump delivered an impassioned address to his supporters at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida, reiterating his commitment to “Make America Great Again.”
“America has granted us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” Trump told the jubilant crowd, flanked by his vice-presidential running mate, Senator JD Vance, Republican leaders, and his family. “This is, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time, one that will help our country right its wrongs and overcome the challenges we once thought insurmountable.”
Beaming with pride, Trump continued, “Every single day, I will fight for you. Together, we will usher in a truly golden age for America. We will make America great again, and we will heal our country.”
He called the victory a political achievement unparalleled in American history. “We won this election against all odds,” he said. “I want to thank my family, especially my wife, for their unwavering support through this difficult journey.”
Trump also addressed the nation’s future, pledging to avoid starting new wars and to focus on ending existing ones. “America must become stronger and better,” he stated. “Together, we will heal the wounds of this country.”
Reflecting on the assassination attempts against him, he remarked, “God spared my life for a purpose.”
Trump expressed his gratitude to his wife, Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared, and his entire family for their support. He also thanked his diverse supporters, particularly Asian-Americans and voters from various backgrounds, who played a pivotal role in his victory.
Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump secured his second term in office after winning 277 electoral votes in the tightly contested 2024 US Presidential Election held on November 5.
TRUMP WINS THE PRESIDENCY
Trump emerged victorious over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, who earned 226 electoral votes. This marks the second time Trump defeated a female opponent, having previously triumphed over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
A candidate needs 270 out of 538 electoral votes to win the presidency. Trump clinched key swing states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. In Pennsylvania, Trump secured 19 electoral votes, 16 in Georgia, 16 in North Carolina, and 15 in Michigan. He also won 11 electoral votes in Arizona.
Trump led in six of the seven swing states, holding strong leads in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia.
