Karachi, April 16, 2026: A disciplined bowling display followed by fluent half-centuries from Sameer Minhas and Devon Conway guided Islamabad United to a commanding eight-wicket victory over Karachi Kings in the 25th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday.

Chasing a modest target of 151, the three-time champions comfortably reached the total with 24 balls to spare, losing just two wickets in the process.

Islamabad United got off to a flying start as Minhas and Conway stitched together a 93-run opening partnership in 10 overs. Minhas led the charge with an aggressive 58 off 36 balls, striking 10 boundaries before being stumped off Moeen Ali on the final ball of the 10th over.

The only other setback came when Mohammad Faiq fell cheaply for five, dismissed by Hasan Ali in the 13th over.

Devon Conway anchored the innings with an unbeaten 53 off 36 deliveries, hitting six fours and a six. He was later joined by captain Shadab Khan, who added a quickfire 31 not out off 16 balls, including two sixes and a boundary, as the pair sealed the win in just 16 overs.

Batting first, Karachi Kings posted 150/6 in their 20 overs despite a fighting unbeaten 51 from Reeza Hendricks.

The Kings suffered early blows, losing Saad Baig cheaply, before Jason Roy (39 off 27) and Hendricks revived the innings with a 62-run stand. However, regular breakthroughs by Islamabad United prevented any late acceleration.

Islamabad United’s bowling attack was led by Shadab Khan and Richard Gleeson, who claimed two wickets each. Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Hasnain also contributed with crucial breakthroughs.

The victory further strengthens Islamabad United’s position in PSL 11, showcasing their balanced dominance in both batting and bowling departments.
