Islamabad, November 8, 2024- The Power Division has introduced an electricity relief package providing up to Rs 26 per unit in bill reductions for the winter months of December, January, and February, as reported by media on Friday.

The relief package offers discounts on electricity consumed above last year’s usage levels. Under the scheme, domestic consumers will receive up to Rs 26 per unit in relief, while commercial consumers will benefit from reductions of up to Rs 22.71 per unit. Industrial consumers are also set to receive relief, with discounts reaching up to Rs 15.05 per unit.

The package is available to consumers who increase their electricity usage by at least 25% compared to the benchmark period, making it an incentive to use more electricity during the winter season.
