Islamabad, May 3,2026: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan hosted the 2026 K-WAVE Festa on Saturday evening at Serena Hotel, bringing together a vibrant celebration of Korean culture, creativity, and global connection.

The event welcomed a diverse audience of cultural enthusiasts, students, influencers, and members of the public to experience the dynamic essence of Korea through an engaging lineup of activities, performances, and interactive showcases.

The “All About Korea” segment featured a series of promotional booths hosted by leading Korean and partner organizations, including Samsung, Lotte Kolson, KOICA, KOPIA, and HRD Korea.

Visitors explored various aspects of Korea’s innovation, development cooperation, and cultural outreach through immersive and educational displays.

A major highlight of the festival was the Korean Language and Culture Program led by the King Sejong Institute.

Attendees participated in introductory Korean language sessions, experienced traditional crafts such as Najeon DIY, and enjoyed trying on Hanbok, offering a tangible connection to Korea’s rich heritage.

The Hallyu Fan Club activities further energized the atmosphere, promoting K-pop culture and Korean tourism, while the K-Beauty booth drew significant attention with its interactive displays and product experiences.

Traditional Korean games and food experiences added a lively, hands-on dimension to the cultural exchange.

An exclusive K-Beauty Master Class, provided influencers with personalized color analysis and K-idol makeup styling techniques.

The session was broadcast live on the venue’s screen and streamed via Instagram Live and the Embassy’s YouTube channel, extending its reach to a wider audience.

The evening culminated in the K-POP Festival – National Preliminary Round, where talented performers competed in vocal and dance categories.

The audience was captivated by powerful vocal performances, dynamic dance routines, and a special stage by a winning team from the 2025 competition.

The opening ceremony featured a special K-pop performance by Faryal Amber, adding star power to the event.

The 2026 K-WAVE Festa successfully fostered cultural exchange and strengthened people-to-people connections between Korea and Pakistan, reflecting the growing popularity of Korean culture and its role as a bridge between nations.
