Islamabad, May 12, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Foreign Minister of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, during which both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed ongoing developments and the broader regional context, with a focus on promoting stability and diplomatic engagement.
The Austrian Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue and its efforts in facilitating engagement between Iran and the United States in support of regional peace and stability.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to sustained diplomatic engagement, including continued efforts to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the United States, aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Both foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact to further strengthen bilateral communication and coordination on regional and international issues.
