Lahore, May 14,2026: Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday and held discussions with the business community aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between Pakistan and Ethiopia.

The ambassador was warmly received by LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, and members of the chamber’s executive committee.

Addressing the business community, Ambassador Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba briefed participants on Ethiopia’s economy, investment environment, and incentives available for foreign investors. He encouraged Pakistani businessmen to visit Ethiopia and explore business opportunities in the country, describing Ethiopia as a gateway to African markets.

“Whatever you produce in Ethiopia can easily be sold across Africa and beyond,” the ambassador said.

Highlighting the direct connectivity provided by Ethiopian Airlines between Pakistan and Ethiopia, he said Pakistani investors should take advantage of opportunities in sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, mining, tourism, and information and communication technology (ICT).

LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol said African markets offer significant potential for Pakistani exports and stressed that the exchange of trade delegations could help boost bilateral trade between the two countries.

He assured the ambassador of the Lahore Chamber’s full support in strengthening economic and commercial linkages between Pakistan and Ethiopia.
